I know I sure miss Mike and the 'bots. It'll always be a mystery to me why the "SciFi Channel" axed this wonderful show, ostensibly because it wasn't "science fiction".

Most of the stuff that SciFi Channel shows ISN'T science fiction! DUH!

I wish that some cable channel would do the world a nice, cheery favor, and bring back MST3K for us yuk-starved Misties.

I was a huge fan of MST3K - some of the best terrible movies ever.

I could never get enough of "Prince of Space".

I never saw the MST3K movie - was it any good?

"Prince of Space" is probably my fave, too. Who can ever forget "Krang-korr"...heh,heh,hehhhh.

It wasn't so much the movies, but moreover, the GREAT, schticky comedy performed by Mike Nelson, Pearl, "Brain Guy", Bobo the Gorilla, and the ever-lovin' bots. They were almost always hilarious.

Joel was way better than Mike but anywho I loved that show; who knew bad movies could be so entertaining!

My favorite was "Warrior of the Lost World" starring the Paper Chase guy, a stupid talking Motorcycle and an armored dump truck named Mega Weapon! Worst movie EVAR!!

I don't think a TV program has ever made me laugh as hard as MST3K did. Seeing the box sets at Best Buy and not buying them takes a significant amount of will power (little too expensive for me these days)
Once I get a full-time job though, they'll be at the top of my list

Personally though, I miss the MST3K forum logo

butt cheeeeeek lady..butt cheeeeek lady....That and the scientist with the glasses that looked like the singer "Prince" had me rolling

my favorite was Time Chasers, partly because it was filmed 20 minutes from my house and partly because a guy that looks like he has a dinner roll glued to his chin builds a time machine out of an apple IIe and a cessna

My favorite show of all time. I found out about it the next to last season. I'm still crushed. I have a pretty big collection on tape and plan to buy some of the box sets and others from a big fan.

I could never sit down with the intention of watching the show--it just wasn't funny then. But when it was two a.m. and I had a paper due in six hours the show was hilarious.

my wife and i STILL find ourselves quoting MST 3000 to this day. just last night i mentioned "King Richard welcoming you to the Renaissance Festival" and we laughed.

that show was a classic. such a perfect formula.

FWIW when they were auctioning off their props i was ~this~ close to buying Crow or Tom Servo. i passed though and the bid went over my max.

You guys are making me all sad remembering this show

I don't know why they won't show the reruns, espeically the Joel episodes that never got re-ran in the first place.

oh man I loved this show. I am going to buy the boxed sets, never noticed them at the store before. I would be in tears and my wife would be like "I don't know why you think this is funny" some people just don't get it.

I bought my brother the entire Season 3 (minus Rhino episodes of course) on DVDs for christmas. Plus they encourage tape trading. Therefore, you can make copies of non Best Brains or Rhino editions!

I agree. Mike Nelson is one of those guys I always envied. He's sneaky funny.

Also, Mary Jo Pehl, or "Pearl Forrester", has to be one of the most underrated and unappreciated comic actresses ever. Her appearances on MST3K are gut-splitting funny! Her timing is FLAWLESS.

I remember when we were pushing for the MST3K logo for this forum.

I think we won with about 60% of the votes and the other 40% couldn't figure out what we were talking about.

    Watch out for snakes!

I want that logo back now that I think about it, hmmm.

Do not engage in the trading of MST3K: THE MOVIE or any episode or video distributed by either Rhino Home Video or the MST3K Info Club. This includes versions of the episodes recorded off of television. If you do so, your listin' in the Tradin' Post will be pulled immediately.

Everything else is fair game. And how do you trade for more tapes? by creating copies of ones you have!

Check ebay for entire seasons. The traders listed at mst3kinfo.com are a bit spendy, about 5 dollars an episode. I bought season 3 (20 legit episodes on 20 dvd's) for 20 bucks.

The MST3K movie was on cable a couple weeks ago, and it brought back memories. I used to never miss an episode and preferred the Joel years to the Mike years. But it was all hilarious.

Like 10 years ago the wife ordered me a MST3K T-shirt and hat, yay for me.

There's an acute shortage of good-quality whimsy on teevee these days. A revival of MST3K could ease this greatly. Such a fun show, just light, silly, witty and nonsensical. Those who loved it miss it a lot.

GREAT show. I'm sitting here singing the theme song at 2:00 in the morning... ...we'll send him cheesy movies, the worst we can find...he'll have to sit and watch them all and we'll monitor his mind...

  35. 04-07-2006 02:04 AM #35
I loved it. Seems like the only chance I got to watch it was whenever I was home during the day when I was sick, or I would catch the occasional weekend show. I thought about building Tom and Crow replicas, but apperently some of the toys they are made out of are kinda hard to come by...
