Thread: recessed light pods

    how hard are these to wire into older homes. doing some basmeent remodeling and looking to put some of these in

    Easy as pie.

    They make a couple of different styles.... new work and old work. Do you have any sheetrock up or is it all open? If you've got rock up you can buy the old work cans and run power to them. New work are simple. Put them where you want them and run some power wire.

    ya house is from like the 50's so all the wiring sucks we have had bad electrical problems. but i have sheet rock but its on a section thats getting torn apart and re worked a little bit to make nicer. and thinking about running them along the stairs to the basement on the side what do you guys think?

    For wall mounted lighting I'd maybe just use a light box and mount up some sconces or something. Not sure I'd want recessed lighting on the walls....

    Unless you aren't meaning the walls. From what I read that's what it seemed you were doing.
